Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot has had an outstanding performance on the courts in Antalya this year. On April 1, he won the third consecutive Futures tournament in Turkey, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the final, Albot beat Spain’s Sergio Gutierrez-Ferrol 6-1, 6-3. He scored another 18 points and will thus move up in the ATP world rankings, where he now has the best position among the Moldovan tennis player – 233rd. In the competitions held in Turkey this year, Radu Albot won 19 victories and suffered a defeat. Last year, the 22-year-old sportsman won five such tournaments. On April 6-8, the national men’s squad of Moldova will play against the Turkish team for keeping the place in the second group of the Davis Cup Europe/Africa Zone. The squad includes Radu Albot, Andrei Ciumac, Andrei Gorban, and Maxim Dubarenko.
