An 18-year-old man was convicted of robbery, which he committed when he was a minor. The defendant and two other persons forced the window of a house in Durlești town and attacked the owners of the house, two elderly people, IPN reports, with reference to the Prosecutor General's Office.

With the intention of stealing their money, the young men physically assaulted the spouses aged 81 and 75. They took almost 3,000 lei, gold jewelry and a mobile phone, and left the scene of the crime.

Recently, the Court of Chisinau City sentenced the defendant, who admitted his guilt, to five years in prison. The investigations in the case of his accomplices go on.
