The Mayoralty of the Chisinau Municipality intends to build a multi-levelled block on the territory of the “Poienita Vesela” children camp from Danceni, Ialoveni district, were teachers could rest and benefit of health treatment in autumn and winter months. The interim mayor, Vasile Ursu, requested from the responsible authorities in the Mayoralty to examine the possibility to build, starting with this year, 500 rooms for teachers. The head of the General Department for Education, Science, Youth and Sport, Alexandru Roman declared for Info-Prim Neo that the request of the interim mayor is a problem to be left for future solving because at the moment there is no money for starting these constructions. Also a decision of the Municipality Council is necessary. He mentioned that the costs had not been yet estimated and that just the sewerage system will cost nearly 2 million lei. The project costs constitute nearly 10% of the real costs, Roman added. Roman supported though the Mayor’s declaration regarding the need for this kind of solutions because at the moment teacher’s treatment is ensured by two institutions; the sanatoria “Constructurul” and “Pedagogul”, the last one is also used for qualification courses. “Teachers would support the idea of the municipality because they don’t have financial resources for resting at the sea and the tickets for balneal-climacterically Stations offered by the Unions are two little for supplying the need of nearly 10 thousand teachers from the city” added the cited source. The President of the Municipality Council Union of Education, Since, Youth and Sport, Galina Talai, declared for Info-Prim Neo that the Unions don’t know yet the intention of the local authorities to build this type of buildings at Poienita Vesela. He said though that the Unions will accept the winter period treatment and qualification variant, because in summer more teachers visit Vadul lui Voda “where is a river and a lot of entertainment”. The union leader is asking for several solutions from the authorities because at the moment teachers benefit of treatment tickets at the observation sanatorium “Constructorul”, while at the recently opened “Pedagogul” are resting especially teachers that are not from Chisinau.
