The deputy chairman of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) Lilian Carp calls on the Ministry of Education and Research to take steps to counter the obliging of teachers to take part in events in which they don’t want to take part, including electoral ones. The politician made reference to a number of messages and screenshots he received from teachers, in which these say that they are obliged to take part in the electoral meetings of a party, IPN reports.
He also requested the Labor Inspectorate to supervise the educators, nursing and other personnel of nursery schools so that these do not stage electoral activities and asked the national education trade unions to intervene and combat such disrespectful treatment towards these employees.
In a news conference, Lilian Carp said the Chisinau General Division of Education, Youth and Sport, which is headed by Andrei Pavaloi, gave those instructions and the educators in preschools are obliged to ensure presence at the party events organized by the National Alternative Movement (MAN) and to share out newspapers at tents.
According to Lilian Carp, such an attitude to the teaching staff should not be tolerated.
