A taxi company based in Chisinau is investigated for concealing taxes and fees of about 13 million lei from the state in 2019-2021. According to the State Tax Service, the police raided seven locations of the company, from where an undeclared sum of over 1 million lei was seized.

The police also seized the lists regarding the company's real daily income, as well as the extract from the mobile taxi ordering app, which confirms the double-entry accounting and tax evasion.

As a result of the preliminary criminal procedural measures, two persons holding posts within the company were classed as suspects

The investigations continue. Meanwhile, the company benefits from the presumption of innocence, in accordance with the law.
