The citizens having gathered ticket stubs for the contest announced by the Tax Inspectorate may send them to the Inspectorate till October the 5th. The stubs should have been issued after August 15. Viorel Dandara, the deputy head of the Inspectorate told a news conference on Thursday that they have already got as many as 200 envelopes for the lottery. The eagers to joint the contest should gather at least 50 ticket stubs accounting for 1,000 lei. The first place winner will get 25,000 lei, two second places – 15,000 lei, 5 prizes will go to the third place winners who'll get by 5,000 lei, ten prizes of 1,000 lei will go to the fourth place winners and 20 5th place winners will get by 500 lei. “The law envisages that these prizes shall be taxed, but we expect the Parliament to endorse our draft amendment to exempt them,” Dandara said. The lottery will be organized on a quarterly basis, as 400,000 lei have been earmarked for this purpose in the 2009 budget.
