Starting August 1, 2006, the National Public Budget of the Republic of Moldova was 102.2% fulfilled, the Ministry of Finance announces. According to the cited source, NBM received taxes and other payments in the total sum of MLN 5.271 bln, including state budget of MDL 1.771 bln. The budgets of the administrative-territorial unities collected MDL 1.287 mln, whilst the state social insurance budget collected MDL 1.287 bln and the compulsory medical assistance insurances gained MDL 276.3 mln. Arrears for NPB on August 1, 2006 constituted MDL 2.034 bln, including MDL 1.044 bln for the state budget, budget of the administrative-territorial unities, MDL 693.2 - social state budget insurances, and the fund of compulsory medical assistance insurances – MDL 10.6 mln. In order to reduce the fiscal debts, the minister of Finance, Mihai Pop asked the heads of the territorial fiscal inspectorates, called together at a meeting, to monitor the process of reducing arrears, to co-operate with the National Management of Social Insurances and with each debtor separately and to give in time all the payment notifications. Also, the minister asked to make public the list of debtors.
