Meteorologists have issued a yellow alert for a sudden weather change, with precipitation and strong winds expected. Over the weekend, rainfall will spread across the entire country, and at the beginning of next week, temperatures will drop.
According to the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS), Saturday’s temperatures are expected to reach highs between +19°C and +25°C, while nighttime lows will range between +9°C and +14°C.
Following Sunday’s rainfall, the weather will cool down significantly. Monday’s maximum temperatures will range between +4°C and +9°C, with lows between +2°C and +7°C.
This shift will bring temperatures back to the seasonal average.
“For March, the normal temperature range should be between 0°C and +3°C, but it is currently exceeding this by more than 15 degrees”, stated Ghenadii Rosca, head of the Weather Forecasting Department, in a statement to IPN.
There is no risk of ground frost.
“This cold spell will persist until March 18-20, after which temperatures will rise again”, Rosca added.
