The human rights association "Dreptul la Dreptate - Right to Justice" appeals to all foreign embassies and diplomatic missions accredited in Moldova in connection with the arbitrariness of prosecutors in the case of Valeriy Zabolotny's group.

We draw your attention to how long the prosecution is trying to delay the reconsideration of the case of the alleged attempt on the life of the oligarch Plahotniuc in the Chisinau Court of Appeal. For almost five years, innocent people continue to be imprisoned at the whim of the fugitive oligarch.

Obviously, the existence of this case in Moldova is very important for Plahotniuc, which allows him to manipulate foreign law enforcement agencies with an alleged threat to his security if one or the other state starts the procedure for his extradition to Moldova.

Thus, the prosecutors acting in the case of Zabolotny's group, by delaying the consideration of this case, help the oligarch Plahotniuc to avoid extradition to our country, where he has long had to answer for all his crimes.

Dear representatives of embassies and diplomatic missions!

We draw your attention to this case in view of the blatant injustice and ignorance of the law that the prosecutors continue to show, which we inherited from the Plahotniuc regime, in which all the hirelings and prosecutors of the escaped leader of the mafia group were not eliminated.

While innocent people who were slandered by Plahotniuc's corruption-oligarchic system continue to be imprisoned, crimes against democracy, human rights and freedoms continue. Crimes committed by the accomplices of the fugitive oligarch who participated in the seizure of the state and in the illegal persecution of dissidents and Inconvenient people.

Your attention to this process may cost human lives and destinies, which the injustice of the Moldovan justice continues to break.

The next court session will be held on November 11, 2021 at 10:00 in the Chisinau Court of Appeal.
