State social insurance budget for 2007 has not been completely fulfilled
The revenues of 5.17 billion lei planned in the state social insurance budget for 2007 were 99.3% collected.
According to the chairwoman of the National Social Insurance House Maria Borta, the social insurance contributions in 2007 totalled 4.3 billion lei, or by 655.2 million lei more than the year before. They made up 99.5% of the projections.
The disbursements from the state budget added up to 791.7 million lei, following the plan and in compliance with the financing requests for the last year. The interest and other incomes came to 32.9 million lei, or by 3.8% larger than planned.
The state social insurance budget expenditure totalled 5.2 billion lei, or by 871.1 million lei more than the previous year, but made up 98.8% of the projections.
Maria Borta said that the expenditure was larger owing to the additional social protection measures implemented last year, including the increase in pensions by 20.7% on April 1. The social insurance pensions of 55,600 beneficiaries had been recalculated and increased by 143 lei a month. The lump sum payment on the birth of a child had been raised by 200 lei, while the average pensions of conscript military men about fivefold, from 94 lei to 468 lei.
On May 1, 2007 the monthly state benefit offered to war invalids and their families was raised by 150 lei, to 250 lei. The nominative compensations for purchasing coal had been raised from 500 lei to 750 lei in December 2007.
