The National Extraordinary Public Health Commission declared a state of public health emergency nationwide starting with September 10 until October 30, 2021. The announcement was made by Minister of Health Ala Nemerenco in a press briefing, IPN reports.

According to the minister, as from September 11, the persons who aged 18 and up will have access to events held in the open air, such as performances, concerts and festivals, and events held in closed places, such as nightclubs, dancing halls, theaters, cinemas, concert halls and others, based on the COVID-19 vaccine certificate on paper or in a digital format valid 14 days after full immunization. Access will also be permitted if the person has either the negative result of a COVID-19 PCR test done within 72 hours, the negative result of a rapid antigen test done within 48 hours, on paper or in a digital format, or a medical conclusion when a person had COVID-19 during the past six months or a document confirming the presence of antibodies valid for 90 days.

According to the minister, the decision is based on the informative note presented by the National Public Health Agency, which ascertained that the COVID-19 epidemic expands and the situation tends to worsen continuously. The number of new cases increased. There are many districts where the number of COVOID-9 cases rose suddenly.

The Ministry of Health during five days will present the third updated version of the plan for preventing and responding to the infection with the novel coronavirus to the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission. Ala Nemerenco said the most important point here is the predictability of the next actions of the Commission, for the next weeks and months, which are expected to be dangerous.
