State enterprises to pay part of profit into state budget and to founder
The State Enterprises (SE), which will end the financial year with profit, will pay a part of their profit to the founder and the public budget. The Parliament approved this amendments to the Law on SE.
According to Valeriu Lazar, minister of economy and commerce, certain state enterprises have a profitable activity, but compared with some joint-stock companies, which pay in the budget additional dividends of the quota owned by the state, SE, besides the taxes stipulated by the legislation do not pay to the founder or in the budget any quota of the profit.
The changes also stipulate the obligation that the Administration Council of every enterprise must include representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Ministry of Finance and of the founder. The same person can participate concomitantly to 5 Administration Councils. Until now, only the presence of a representative of the branch ministry in the Administration Council was compulsory.
According to Lazar, these amendments were made taking into account the recommendations of the International Monetary Fund Mission.
379 SE and hundreds of their branches are registered in Moldova.
