State budget collections rose
Revenues in the amount of 2,089.4 million lei were raised to the state budget in January-March 2006 or 105.9 percent compared with expected amounts. They rose by 277.2 million lei or by 15.3 percent compared with the similar period of 2005, according to data of the Finance Ministry.
The ministry said that basic revenues represent 1,865.9 million lei of the overall incomes from the state budget. The collections accounted for 115.2 percent compared with foreseeing for three months of this year. In comparison with the same period of 2005, the basic revenues of the state budget rose by 270.5 million lei or by 17.0 percent.
At the same time, grants worth 23 million lei were attracted from foreign donors for implementation of investment projects in January-February. Revenues worth 38.4 million lei were reported in special funds in the period concerned, while public institutions finances from the state budget attracted special means in the amount of 162.1 million lei.
At the same time, expenses in the amount of 1,885.3 million lei went from the state budget in the first trimester. Compared with January-March 2005, the expenses rose by 285.7 million lei or 17.9 percent. The basic expenses of the state budget for the same period accounted for 1,644.7 million lei and they rose by 21.2 percent compared with the same period of 2005.
External payments worth 12.3 million dollars or 159.1 million lei were performed in the first trimester accordingly to the established schedule, in order to honour the foreign credit commitments of Moldova.
