Acting President Mihai Ghimpu Friday issued a decree, conferring state awards on police officers Petru Barca and Ghenadii Maliovanyi, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the presidential press service. The two were awarded for irreproachable service, merits in combating crime and contribution to maintaining law and order. Police Major Petru Barca received the Faithfulness to Country Order of the third degree, while Senior Lieutenant Ghenadii Maliovanyi – the Military Merit Medal. Also today, the head of state awarded the Labor Glory Order on a group of writers. Alexandru Bantos, Argentina Cupcea (Josu) and Fiodor (Todur) Zanet received state awards for merits in developing literature, contribution to promoting the national spiritual values and prodigious work.
