Speranta Crihana Veche Monday beat Olimpia Balti 3-1 in the last match of the 26th stage of the National Division, leaving thus the last place in the national football championship. Two goals for the winners were scored by Vadim Cricimari, IPN reports.
As a result, Speranta climbed to the 11th spot, surpassing Nistru Otaci, which lost to Rapid Ghidighici 0-2 at home.
The other matches ended as follows: Sheriff Tiraspol – Milsami Orhei 1-2, Dacia Chisinau – FC Tiraspol 0-0, Zimbru Chisinau – Iskra-Stal Ribnitsa 0-0, and FC Costuleni – Academia Chisinau 2-2.
The next matches were scheduled for April 20 and 21. FC Tiraspol meets Speranta, Milsami – Dacia, Rapid – Sheriff, Academia – Nistru, Iskra-Stal - FC Costuleni, while Olimpia – Zimbru.
The first three encounters of the quarterfinals of Moldova’s Cup will be played on April 16. Iskra-Stal will face Milsami, Dacia - FC Veris, while Sheriff – Nistru. The match between FC Tiraspol and Zimbru will take place one day later.
