Speed bumps to be installed near 8 Lyceums in Chisinau
Speed limiters are being installed near 8 lyceums in the capital, which are near the roadway and present high risk of accidents.
Head of Chisinau’s general division for education, youth and sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb told Info-Prim Neo that the plan of installing speed limiters was developed by sectors’ education divisions in collaboration with the Traffic Police.
The installation of speed limiters has already commenced and will be finished by the beginning of the school year. They will make the drivers slow down so that accidents could be avoided. 20 other schools will have “Attention! Children” signs installed nearby. Additionally, the road marking is being repainted near all the education institutions.
The money for installing speed limiters was allotted from the Municipal Budget.
