Specialists trained to use sophisticated gas equipment within “GazTrain” project

The project to train specialists to use and repair sophisticated gas equipment “GazTrain” is close to an end. The goal of the project was to popularize efficient energy technologies in Moldova. The modern center “GazTrain”, which was created within the project, was founded by the company “Viessmann”, which is one of the German and European leaders in the field, in cooperation with the Training Center “Flacara Albastra” (“Blue Flame”), IPN reports.

In a news conference at IPN, Sergiu Ghetiu, project manager at Spelleken Associates, which implemented the project, said “GazTrain” was designed to offer the local consumers the possibility of benefitting from German technologies. “In the areas that are the furthest from the center of the country, particular works are not executed because there are no specialists in the field. The training of technicians is an important objective of the project. Furthermore, the consumers also gain as they can benefit from long-term repair services, with guarantees,” he stated.

The training equipment was provided by “Viessmann”, while the project to renovate the lecture room was supported by the Government of Germany. The 16-month project began in July 2014, but “GazTrain” will continue its work as a result of its merger with the Training Center “Flacara Albastra”. “Together with the partners from Germany and Romania, we instituted a new specialty – wall boiler service, regulation and repair technician. Most of the specialists work in Chisinau. That’s why we decided to stage the training courses in districts,” said Iurie Truhin, director of “Flacara Albastra”.

“We came with knowhow from Romania so as to implement it widely in Moldova. In concert with our partners, we teach persons who will become trainers so that more people learn how to exploit equipment in a professional and safe way and any equipment is used as long as possible,” said Valentiu Ignas, the representative of “Viessmann” in Romania.

The project “GazTrain” is also aimed at increasing the country’s energy independence. For the purpose, the consumers are familiarized with equipment working based on alternative sources of energy. There are promoted boilers burning wood, pellets and other types of biomass and solar energy capturing and using equipment.
