Specialised body to manage agricultural subsidies
Authorities plan to set up the Agency for Agricultural Subsidies, part of the new concept concerning this domain.
The Agency will be granted competences to receive and assess applications for subsidies; inform the interested parties; oversee the integrated management system; supervise the allotment of funds to farmers.
To supervise the financial aid granted to farmers, the agency will use an integrated management system, incorporating an electronic database, a system to locate assets in rural area, a supervision system, an ID system for farmers applying for financial aid, guidelines for completing and submitting applications, and an informational portal.
The Agency will be also endowed with instruments to influence the market in order to encourage exports.
To set up the new body, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry is tasked to draw up the Agency’s Regulations and other related documents.
