Southeastern European Defense Ministers to discuss Kosovo developments
Representatives of Moldova’s Defense Ministry will participate in the “Defense Ministerial Meeting” of the Southeastern Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP), which will be held in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia on Tuesday, Info-Prim Neo reports, citing Anadolu Agency. The recent developments following Kosovo’s independence will be high on the meeting’s agenda.
The event will also de attended by representatives from Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia.
SEECP was launched in 1996 on Bulgaria’s initiative, which currently holds the presidency of the organization. One of SEECP’s basic goals is to enable its members to approach the European and Euro-Atlantic structures through the strengthening of good neighborly relations and transformation of the region into an area of peace and stability.
