Some of the Moldovan politicians go to Moscow to convince the Russian authorities to impose different embargos on Moldova and to press the country. Their goal is to damage the image of the government and to influence the results of the next electrons, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov said in the public debate “Post-scriptum: What should Moldovan society know and do over the ‘bothering ’ statements about the Republic of Moldova made by foreign officials?” that was staged by IPN News Agency.

“As a minister, I did everything possible to prevent political influence on the commercial relations with the important states. But we cannot avoid this. I often said in Moscow that we, the politicians, come and go, but we should make effort to prevent hatred between peoples. But there are Moldovan politicians who go to convince those from Moscow to exert pressure on Moldova,” he stated

Referring to Russia’s ban on the imports of Moldovan wine and cognac, Vasile Bumacov said the reform of the winegrowing and winemaking sector was recently completed. “There was created the Wine Agency. It will be a good partnership and the sector itself will be the one that will punish those that break the rules. We every time look for enemies outside, but should first clarify the situation inside the country. We know what we have to do. The producers must make effort to diversify the markets,” stated the minister.

He also said that the political pressure would have a different effect if we were more united. “Russia has its own interests that it propagates as it can.
