If snap parliamentary elections are held, a low number of citizens will go out to vote mainly because the people are tired of polls, sociologists Ian Lisnevschi was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel.
According to him, the Bloc ACUM wants to remain in the opposition and the PSRM and the PDM to form an alliance or wants snap elections. “The snap elections are the best method for them, but there is a problem – society does not want new elections,” stated Ian Lisnevschi.
The sociologist noted they will also try to resort to protests, even if the people are tired of protests. “When it has to explain what it protests for, the Bloc ACUM has problems as it has to blame the government, but there is actually no government in Moldova. There are the acting officials who maintain the state affairs, but there is no government. That’s why it is harder to level criticism at the Filip Government,” he stated.
Journalist Vsevolod Cernei said it is not known if the snap elections would advantage the opposition parties. “I’m afraid the snap elections in our country will not produce much different results, plus-minus some percentage points, plus-minus several seats and the people would then ask what for these elections had to be held,” he noted.
