The Socialists noted that the rise in pensions is their merit as namely the Party of Socialists, when it was in power, managed to promote an efficient budgetary-fiscal policy and now the state budget has enough financial resources for these rises, IPN reports.
Alla Darovannaia, a member of the parliamentary group of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, told a news conference that the pensions will be raised from the 4.5 million lei collected into the budget as revenues. These revenues are due to an efficient budgetary-fiscal policy and budget that were through up and approved by the then parliamentary majority, namely the Party of Socialists.
The MP also referred to the indexation of pensions, saying that the pensions are indexed two times a year also owing to the Party of Socialists.
The Cabinet on September 8 approved a draft decision to increase the minimum pension. The persons with a full insurance period as from October 1 will receive a pension of at least 2,000 lei. Over 183,000 pensioners will benefit from an average rise of 360 lei. For the pensioners who do not have a full insurance period, the minimum pension will be proportional to the length of their insurance period. The rise will be of 400 lei on average.
