The socialist parliamentary group submitted a new simple motion, this time against Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Iurie Chirinciuc. The motion says that after Chirinciuc was appointed as minister, the road infrastructure and transport sector reached a deplorable state, IPN reports.

According to the Socialists, who proposed the motion at the beginning of the June 17 sitting of Parliament, statistics show that the volume of freight decreased dramatically. Also, owing to the incompetence of the administration of “Moldova’s Railways”, the company is close to bankruptcy.

“Many employees protest because they haven’t received salaries for over three months. The people work hungry and this led to a tragic case, when an employee of “Moldova’s Railways” was crushed,” said Socialist MP Oleg Lipskii. He noted that neither the air nor maritime transport is in a better state.

This is the fourth simple motion submitted by the Socialists so far. Last week, the motion was against Minister of Education Corina Fusu and this was rejected. Today Parliament is to examine the simple motion against Minister of Defense Anatol Salaru, while next week it will debate a motion against Minister of Finance Octavian Armasu.
