Socialist People’s Party gives support to Igor Dodon

Members of the Socialist People’s Party of Moldova, led by Victor Stepaniuc, voiced hope that the Party of Socialists’ candidate Igor Dodon will be elected President on November 13. In a news conference, Victor Stepaniuc said the current election campaign is dirty. The political disputes divided society and this Sunday’s elections can be a first towards improving the situation, IPN reports.

Victor Stepaniuc noted that the Head of State must be intelligent and have managerial and administrative experience and Igor Dodon has such skills, including owing to the posts he held. According to him, Maia Sandu does not have these qualities and she showed this while she served as minister of education.

Victor Stepaniuc, who during several years chaired the Parliament’s commission on culture, science, education, sport and mass media, said Maia Sandu’s work at the Ministry of Education consisted only in the installation of surveillance cameras at the Baccalaureate exams and she did nothing to improve the education system.

The members of the Socialist People’s Party of Moldova also said that if Igor Dodon is elected President, this will make effort to solve the problems existing in society. These are mainly related to the quality of life, economic recovery, penetration of new markets. The supporters of Dodon are firmly convinced that the Socialist is able to solve the problems faced by the people and the state in general.
