Social Democrats’ candidate will be the first in ballots

The candidate of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) for the mayoralty of Chisinau Sergiu Coropceanu will take the first spot in the ballots. He is followed by the Liberal Democratic Party’s candidate Victor Bodiu and the candidate of the Christian Democratic People’s Party Radu Busila. Communist candidate Igor Dodon is the sixth. The order was decided in a draw on Monday evening, Info-Prim Neo reports. Among the other candidates who filed applications on the first registration day are the representative of the Party of Socialists “Patria Rodina” Valentin Crylov (fourth position in ballots), the representative of the Our Home Moldova Party Oleg Onishchenko (fifth), the leader of the Movement “Ravnopravie” Valery Climenco (seventh), and president of the National Liberal Party Vitalia Pavlichenko (eighth). “The order in which the candidates are written does not matter. Everything depends on the work we do and the results we achieve,” said Victor Bodiu. Asked to comment on his sixth position, Igor Dodon said not the figure is important, but the candidate’s solutions to the problems faced by Chisinau and its inhabitants. “In the April 5 legislative elections and in the previous ones, I was under number six and it was ultimately a lucky number for me,” he stated PCRM. The list in the ballots for seats on the Chisinau Municipal Council is headed by the PCRM. The next are the PL, the PLDM, the PPCD, the PNL, “Ravnopravie”, and Our Home Moldova Party. The PL’s candidate for mayor Dorin Chirtoaca has not yet lodged the documents for being registered, while the PSD and “Patria-Rodina” has not submitted the lists of candidates for the Chisinau Council.
