Sleet and snow felt last night all over the country. Road workers intervened on the national roads to clean them and spread anti-skid material, IPN reports.

The State Road Administration said that teams of local units carried out patrolling and de-icing works on national public roads in Ialoveni, Comrat, Floresti, Cantemir, Cimislia, Leova, Hâncești, Nisporeni, Rezina, Drochia, Călărași, Strășeni, Ungheni, Comrat, Ceadâr-Lunga.

Over 80 special vehicles were involved in the process and spread 837 tonnes of technical salt and 36 tonnes of anti-skid material. Another 70 tonnes of technical salt and almost 10 tonnes of anti-skid material were spread by hand.

Road workers remain mobilized on the national roads.
