The reforms in the area of small business are blocked, the draft law on Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises lacks practical sense and ignores the principles of the Small Business Act for Europe, said the Small Business Association, which invites the businesspeople to a protest near the Government Building, IPN reports.
In a press statement, the Association says the Government’s declarations about the necessity of improving the business climate are a bluff, while the proposals and petitions of business entities are neglected.
According to the Small Business Association, in most of the cases the small businesses are given negative appraisals, even when the initiatives come from the legislature. “In this regard, the statement of an Economy Ministry employee concerning the development of small business is relevant. We will paraphrase it this way: Slowly, slowly and step by step ... we lead the country to disaster.” Surely, the functionaries of this Ministry during tens of years ‘slowly-slowly’ have disregarded the private initiative and the dialogue with small businesses,” reads the statement.
The Association calls on the businesspeople from all over the country to join in the protest scheduled for July 13.
