Six polling stations abroad closed earlier than planned

Six out-of-country polling stations closed before the legal time expired because they used up all the 5,000 ballots. These are polling stations No. 1/348 in Berlin and No. 1/349 in Frankfurt, Germany, No. 1/393 and No. 1/394 in London, UK, No. 1/344 in Montreuil, France, and No. 1/367 in Bologna, Italy. Four out-of-country polling stations decided to extend the working program. In Budapest, Hungary, the voting time was prolonged by 30 minutes, while at the polling stations in Tel-Aviv, Israel, in Kassel, Germany and in Paris, France by two hours, IPN reports.

According to CEC vice president Vladimir Șarban, the elections took place without major incidents and in conditions of absolute transparency. All the polling stations in Moldova closed at 9pm, except one station in Călărași, which extended the voting period by one hour.

A number of challenges were filed today and approaches were made to the state institutions that are to examine them. The authors received responses to some of these challenges.

The representatives of the media during the day had access to information about voting in real time and to the CEC employees for statements. He thanked the voters and those who are yet to vote and also the institutions involved in the organization of the presidential elections.
