Singerei will have modern sidewalks and bicycle paths

The residents of Singerei will benefit from modern sidewalks and bicycle lanes on the central road through the city. The works are part of the second stage of the project to rehabilitate Independence Street, financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, totaling 2.69 million euros, IPN reports.

In the first stage of the project, the road's carriageway was rehabilitated over a length of 6.5 km, stormwater drainage networks were built, more than 600 road signs were installed and road markings were made.

Today the contract for the second phase was signed between the State Road Administration and two Moldovan companies, Nouconst and Corsag, which will carry out the works.

"The completion of this project will bring long-term benefits for both residents of Singerei and visitors. We will continue to modernize the national roads in order to create better conditions for citizens", promised Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Vladimir Bolea, who was present at the event.

The project in Sangerei aims not only to modernize sidewalks, but also to create a more pedestrian- and cyclist-friendly city, contributing to safer and more efficient urban mobility.
