Shor's MPs propose to Parliament declaration on usurpation of power

The MPs close to fugitive politician Ilan Shor suggested that Parliament should adopt a declaration on "usurpation of state power and genocide against its own people", IPN reports.

"The Republic of Moldova is facing a new serious challenge that threatens democratic institutions and the existence of the state as a whole. For four years, the country has been ruled by an anti-popular political group led by Maia Sandu, who took absolute power in the state. This group has politically subjugated all state institutions," MP Marian Tauber said in a press briefing.

According to her, the usurpation of power in the state is the most serious crime committed against the people. The proposed statement asks Parliament to ascertain "the captured nature of the state by the PAS political group and President Maia Sandu" and to note that the current government has usurped power in the Republic of Moldova, illegally subjugating all state institutions to their own interests.

Marina Tauber also called on the international community "to respond promptly to the anti-democratic and dictatorial actions of the ruling party." She also urged other colleagues to sign the draft decision.
