Steaua took revenge for the 2 draws in Europa League 2009-2010 groups, when the Romanian outfit finished at the bottom of the group. Meanwhile, Sheriff announced on their website the purchase of Ghanaian defender Gandi Cassenu from Liberty Professionals. The U20 Ghana international was part of the squad that won the U20 World Cup in 2009.
