Fullback Anthony Golec signed recently for Sheriff. The 25-year-old player is the first Australian who will compete in the National Division, IPN reports.

Golec can play both in the center of the defense and on the flanks. He is 1.93 meters in height. Golec played exclusively for Australian clubs. In 2008, he made his debut for the first team of Sydney United and then moved to one of the top Australian teams FC Sydney. In three years, he returned to Sydney United for a short period. At the end of 2011, he joined Adelaide United, where he played during three seasons. In the 2014-2015 competition year, Golec played for Western Sydney Wanderers FC and then for Perth Glory.

As the top teams of Australia can compete in the Asian Champions League, Golec won the prestigious trophy together with Western Sydney Wanderers FC in 2014. Golec also played for the national youth team of Australia.
