After suffering defeats from Siroki Brijeg and Olimpik Donetsk, Sheriff finally returned to winning ways in their ongoing training session in Turkey. The Moldovan champions scored a 3:1 victory against Daejeon Citizen, the runners-up of South Korea’s second league.

Two goals for Sheriff came from the Cameroonian striker Robert Tambe, on loan from CFR Cluj. The final score was settled by another new acquisition, the midfielder Maxim Cojocaru, brought in from Petrocub.

Sheriff will have a second training session in Turkey starting February 17. Goran Sablic’s side will play four friendlies as part of it, with Dila (Georgia), Spartaks Jurmala (Latvia), Spartak Moscow (Russia) and Shakhtyor Soligorsk (Belarus).
