Sheriff climb to second spot in Moldovan premiership

Sheriff Tiraspol have approached the top of the National Division with a 4-0 win against Rapid Ghidighici on Wednesday, Info-Prim Neo reports. Slovenian Dalibor Volas, Russian Nail Zamaliev, Moldovan Anatol Cheptine and Serbian Alexandr Pesici scored in their very first official match for Sheriff. This victory takes Sheriff to the second spot in the premiership, two points behind leaders Dacia Chişinău. Elsewhere in Round 22, Iskra-Stal defeated Nistru Otaci 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by Viktor Uzbek. The Steelmen have again approached the table's podium, reentering the struggle for medals.
