Sheriff climb 2 spots in IFFHS rankings
Sheriff Tiraspol climbed 2 spots in the updated world club rankings of the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS), now occupying
the 201st place with 86 points.
Sheriff share this position with experienced clubs like the German VfB Stuttgart and Werder Bremen, the French Nice or Scotland's Dundee United.
Moldova's champions Dacia Chisinau, however, dropped two spots from 210th to 212nd, with 84 points.
Two other Moldovan clubs, Olimpia Balti and Iskra-Stal Ribnita, are not in the rankings anymore.
The list is topped by the Spanish club Barcelona, followed by the rivals from Real Madrid and Argentina's CA Velez Sarsfield.
In compiling the list, IFFHS looks at the results of twelve months of continental and intercontinental competitions, national league matches (including play-offs) and the national cup, without taking into account historical titles.
