A shelter for stray dogs and a clinic for their neutering will be built in the municipality of Chisinau in short time. Interim mayor of Chisinau Veaceslav Iordan requested the specialised services at the City Hall session held on February 26 to look for plots where the facilities would be built, Info-Prim Neo reports. Iordan requested interim head of the General Architecture Department Nicon Zaporojan to find two plots and to announce a tender for the construction of the shelter and clinic. According to another ordinance of the interim mayor, the new interim head of Economy Department Aurelia Porumbescu shall find a place to open an office for the national minorities in Chisinau, as well as an Information Centre within it. At the same time, Iordan requested “Capitala-Stolita” newspaper to publish on a weekly basis articles about the activities of national minorities’ organisations. Also, Iordan sought to remove billboards from sidewalks, as well as a coffee bar located at the crossroad of Ismail Street and Stefan cel Mare Boulevard. The interim mayor requested local authorities to present a plan on the illumination of student hostels and repair of access roads. He also ordered to improve the visual range of the semaphores located on the following streets: Sarmisegetuza, Decebal and Traian, crossroad of Puskin and Stefan cel Mare, Gagarin – Albisoara, Cantemir – Negruzzi. Moreover, the Electric Transport Management must urgently assemble two more trolleybuses. Also, the local public administration intends to repair or purchase new mailboxes for the apartment blocks in Chisinau. At the same time, students in Chisinau are offered the chance to earn money. In their spare time, students can sweep the streets and remove snow.
