Several more days left to deadline for submissions in taxpayer stimulation competition
The deadline for sending envelopes with receipts for the taxpayers’ stimulation tombola is July 5. It is going to be the fourth quarterly drawing since the announcement of the competition, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The goal is to motivate the taxpayers to request receipts for the purchased goods and services, while determining the business entities to operate transparently, use the cash register for all transactions and avoiding the double bookkeeping.
Maria Cotruta, first inspector of the State Tax Service, stated that more than 18,000 persons have already participated in the competition.
The envelopes submitted for the competition, helped the Main State Tax Inspectorate discover a series of violations of the tax legislation. As a result, the inspectorate conducted 427 unannounced inspections of economic entities from all the districts of Moldova. The violation identified resulted in fines totaling 700,000 lei.
Cotruta also recalled that each drawing of lots produces 38 winners. The prizes awarded to them amount to a total sum of 100,000 lei. The top prize is 25,000 lei. There also are 2 prizes of 15,000 lei and 5 of 5,000 lei each. Other prizes are either 1,000 or 500 lei.
The competition was launched in the fall of 2008. Anyone can participate in it, the only requirement being the permanent residence on the territory of Moldova. The envelope should contain a written application and 50 receipts for purchased goods and services, with a total value of at least 1,000 lei.
Envelopes should be submitted to the Main State Tax Inspectorate, with the note “for the competition”.
