MP Sergiu Sarbu has joined the Democratic Party (PDM). The lawmaker made the announcement at the end of the last sitting of the Parliament’s spring-summer session on July 12. Sarbu said he looked for a powerful team with which to identify himself, IPN reports.

The chairman of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu said that Sergiu Sarbu has good qualities of politician and of man. He proposed the MP to form part of the party’s Legal Department.

Now that Sergiu Sarbu joined the PDM, he automatically became a member of the Democratic parliamentary group.

Sergiu Sarbu left the Communist Party on December 12, 2012.
