Sergiu Gurduza, formerly member of the Central Electoral Commission, has been appointed as Moldova’s consul general to Istanbul, Turkey. The Government endorsed his appointment on the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
Nicu Popescu, Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs, said that Gurduza will start in his new role on March 14.
Meanwhile, the Government approved the resignation of Serghei Diaconu from the position of Secretary General of the Ministry of the Interior and confirmed Igor Trofimov as MoI State Secretary.
Another state secretary was appointed at the Ministry of Finance: Olga Golban, formerly department head at the State Fiscal Service.
The Government also decided to appoint Nicolae Radita as deputy director of the Interethnic Relations Agency.
