The independence of justice and the fight against corruption can be ensured by implementing the electronic file and encouraging denouncement, said the leader of the Working People’s Party Sergey Toma. According to the candidate for MP, the inferiors should be motivated to denounce their chiefs if abuses are committed, while the denouncers should be protected by law, IPN reports.
In an electoral debate at IPN, the leader of the Working People’s People said economic recovery in Moldova can take place by creating a favorable climate for big investors. The investments in the Republic of Moldova will stop the massive exodus of the population, by offering well-paid jobs to the people at home.
“First of all, we should bring the people at home. We must create conditions for big investors and should set up a kind of City Chisinau that will provide attractive buildings to large companies that want to come to the Republic of Moldova, including Amazon, Google. We must offer the necessary infrastructure to them and we will then have jobs and decent salaries,” said Sergey Toma.
The candidate noted that when his party enters Parliament, they will come with a number of legislative proposals to ensure the independence of justice. The existence of an electronic file will exclude the possibility of extracting proofs from the file for money.
“We should have an electronic file, from the starting of the case up to court. One prosecutor should not be able to start a criminal case. There should be four signatures of four prosecutors in this regard and the denouncer should be encouraged. An inferior should be able to say that a minister stole or used other stratagems. There should be a law on the denouncer so that those who denounce superiors are not punished,” stated Sergey Toma.
He criticized the activity of the National Integrity Authority, saying this is a completely inefficient institution.
“The NIA’s efficiency is equal to zero. We wrote to it, saying which of the persons should be examined. This institution continues to be captured. No one has done something there for years. It does not bring benefits to the state, but spends over 30 million lei,” stated Toma.
In the July 11 snap parliamentary elections, the Working People’s Party will be under No. 22.
The seventh electoral debate of the series “Analyzing Electoral Supply and Demand-2021” also involved the representatives of the Party of Development and Unity of Moldova and the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”.
IPN’s eighth electoral debate set for July 8, 11:15am, will feature the election contenders: the Democratic Party of Moldova, the National Unity Party and the Professionals Movement “Speranţa-Nadejda”.
