Sections of Chisinau streets to be closed to traffic due to Euro Marathon

Vehicle traffic will not have access to sections of a number of streets in central Chisinau on Sunday in connection with the Euro Marathon 2024. During the sporting event, public transport will run on modified routes, IPN reports.

Thus, on September 8, starting at 01:10 a.m. and until 10:00 p.m., the section of Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd between the streets Bănulescu-Bodoni and Pushkin will be closed to vehicle traffic. The sporting event will start from the Great National Assembly Square.

On Sunday, between 07:00 a.m. and 02:00 p.m., the race will take place on the route approved by the organizers: Great National Assembly Square - Pushkin Street - Constantin Tanase Street - Grigore Vieru Boulevard - Romana Street; turn, Romană Street - Grigore Vieru Boulevard - Constantin Tanase Street - Mitropolit Gavriil Bănulescu Bodoni Street - Great National Assembly Square (movement on the road).

Drivers are urged to comply with the requests of the traffic agents and to show patience and discipline in traffic, without deviations from the Road Traffic Regulations.

The Euro Marathon 2024 is organized by “Sporter” Sports Club in partnership with the National Triathlon Sports Federation of the Republic of Moldova and “Simpals” company, and in cooperation with the Chisinau City Hall.
