Andrei Chistol was named as secretary of state at the Ministry of Culture by a Government decision on October 8, IPN reports.
Anatol Chistol has worked at the Ministry of Culture since 2008. The last post held was that of head of the International Cooperation Division. He has a Masters’ Degree in international relations and helped compile five reports on cultural matters for international institutions.
In the same meeting, the Government delegated Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Valeriu Chiveri to act as the political representative of Chisinau for the Transnistrian conflict settlement given that Deputy Prime Minister Eugen Carpov will leave his post for the period of the election campaign.
Also today, Ion Ababii was confirmed as rector of the University of Medicine and Pharmaceutics “N. Testemitanu”, while Constantin Maslincov was confirmed as administrator of the Free Enterprise Zone “Tvarditsa” for a period of five years.
