Second passport could be applied for at post office
From July 29, the people will be able to apply for the second passport at the post office, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology. The same day, the Ministry will launch the service “Replacement of Passports through Post Offices”. The persons will thus file the applications for changing the passport to post offices, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Ministry.
The applicant will fill out a questionnaire at the post office and pay an additional charge for postal services. The applications will be sent to the State Information Resource Center “Registru” within five workdays.
The Center's Documentation Division will examine the applications and validate the passports. The passports will be handed over to the applicants on presentation of the identity card and the soldier's record at the documentation offices located at the address indicated in the identity card.
The project will be piloted in Floresit, in northern Moldova and in Cahul, in the southern part. It is aimed at optimizing the services provided by the State Information Resource Center “Registru” and the state-run company Moldova's Post Office managed by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology.
