Searches are being carried out at the home of the ex-Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu who is investigated for unjust enrichment.

Contacted by IPN for details, Mariana Kerpek, press officer of the Prospector General’s Office, said the searches are conducted at Candu’s home and in other places. More details will be provided when the investigation is over.

Andrian Candu entered Parliament in 2010 on the ticket of the Democratic Parliament. He served as Speaker between January 2015 and February 2019. In February 2020, he constituted the parliamentary group Pro Moldova, which later became a political party. In October 2021, Andrian Candu resigned as the president of the Party “Pro Moldova”.
