During the last few years, the job of seamstress remained the most popular one on the labor market. The number of applications for such specialists submitted by employers at the end of June represented 17% of all the vacancies available from the National Employment Agency, IPN reports.
According to the situation on June 30, 2018, the Agency’s database contained 16,951 jobless persons and 13,040 vacancies. Of the unemployed, 11,000 were from villages. But the largest number of job vacancies are available in Chisinau municipality – about 4,600.
The seamstresses represented 1% of the persons out of a job on June 30. There is a shortage of staff in healthcare, education and public administration. The demand is also high for production sector and telecommunications operators, textile industry manufacturers, trolleybus drivers and other jobs.
Among the vacancies, the jobs paying salaries of 3,000 lei and up represent 50%, those paying 2,000 to 3,000 lei - 23%, those paying in accordance with the fulfilled norm – 22%, while those paying up to 2,000 lei - 5%.
