The Ministry of Education and Research called on all educational institutions to implement effective measures to rationalize energy consumption during the state of emergency declared in Moldova. The measures are aimed at reducing energy costs, especially in the context of the energy crisis, IPN reports.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Education recommends that educational institutions "turn off the lighting on the facades of buildings and decorative installations on holidays (such as New Year's Eve lights)" in order to save energy. It is also recommended "to reduce the temperature in schools by 1-2°C, while maintaining the necessary comfort in classrooms" and "to use electricity and heat economically by turning off equipment and lighting in unused classrooms”.
The Ministry asks the managers of educational institutions to inform "teaching staff, students and parents about the need to save energy", so that everyone contributes to reducing consumption during the crisis.
The measures are part of a series of government recommendations that aim to reduce the impact of the energy crisis on public institutions and support national efforts to save resources in the current context.
