The government launches the campaign "Save energy - pay less", IPN reports.
Citizens and economic agents will receive information published by the Ministry of Energy and the National Center for Sustainable Energy on how to reduce energy consumption and expenses.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Energy, the initiative promotes practical recommendations for optimizing energy consumption and is part of the government's efforts to encourage energy responsibility.

In order to reduce consumption, citizens are urged to adapt their home lighting to their needs, as 30% of total energy consumption is used for home lighting. People are also urged to choose luminaires with motion sensors, use the stairs instead of the elevator, keep household appliances in good working order, and turn off lights in spaces and rooms where they are no longer needed.
To save thermal energy, citizens are advised to ensure that pipes are insulated, as about 15% of total energy consumption is used to heat water. Likewise, it is recommended to regularly vent radiators, regularly maintain the heating system, avoid opening the oven door during cooking as much as possible or use a lid when cooking on the stove.
To save water resources, it is recommended to install a low-flow shower head, so that the amount of water bills will be noticeably lower. Insulating hot water pipes and reducing water pressure is recommended. Likewise, people should not leave the tap running while brushing their teeth or shaving (in the case of men), and opt for showers instead of baths in the bathtub.
To save fuel, people are urged to use higher-octane fuel, check fuel and air filters, don't stop the engine at stoplights, don't drive aggressively, use autopilot and adopt a passenger, recommends the National Center for Sustainable Energy.
