The two candidates for President, who reached the runoff election, agreed the place of the electoral debate. This will take place at the Palace of the Republic and the broadcasting will be ensured by Teleradio-Moldova Company. For now, it is not clear when the debate will be staged. Maia Sandu's team opts for Thursday or Friday, while Alexandr Stoianoglo's team asks for a later date, IPN reports.

"The discussions are currently centering on the date of the debate. Alexandr Stoianoglo's team proposed next Thursday, October 31, but Sandu’s team rejected this date, insisting on holding the event this Thursday or Friday. In an attempt to achieve a compromise, Stoianoglo’s team proposed Sunday, but a final agreement has not yet been reached,” said the PSRM, which supports Alexandr Stoianoglo in the electoral race.

As for the moderator, Stoianoglo's team proposed journalist Gheorghe Gonța. "Although initially the representative of Sandu’s team hesitated to accept it, mentioning that the proposal will be analyzed internally, later they accepted Gonța as a moderator. At this stage, the discussions focus on the date. We stick to the compromise solution – Sunday, October 27,” noted the PSRM.

The format and structure of the debate have not yet been decided.
