Salaries of employees of public health facilities to be raised

The monthly pays of medical and administrative personnel of public health facilities involved in the mandatory health insurance system will be increased by 10% on average as of April 1 this year, IPN reports, quoting a Government decision.

Higher salaries will be paid to family doctors, doctors from the pre-hospital assistance system and the phtisiopneumology service of the hospital sector, doctors involved in the treatment of HIV/AIDS, surgeons, endoscopists, anesthesiologists, reanimatologists, other health professionals from national, municipal, regional and district institutions, as well as to medical personnel with secondary specialty studies from the enumerated services, inferior medical personnel and administrative personnel.

The new salaries of family doctors, depending on the length of service, will be 7,160 lei, 7,800 lei and, respectively, 8,440 lei for seniority under 10 years, of 10 to 20 years
and of over 20 years. The salaries of personnel with secondary medical studies will be 4,200 lei, 4,620 lei and 5,010 lei, also depending on the length of service. The inferior medical personnel will get a salary of 2,890 lei.

The salaries of the managers of public health facilities will depend on the volume of financial resources accumulated by institutions from the provision of medical services to the population.

According to Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu, 49,400 employees will benefit from pay raises and about 300 million lei was earmarked for the purpose.
