Workers of the Rybnitsa Metallurgical Plant will stay at home until the end of this month. The enterprise announced that it decided to extend the technological unemployment until January 31 inclusive, IPN reports.

Only the duty personnel go to work. The measure is aimed at reducing energy consumption. According to local media, the over 2,000 workers who stay at home collect two-thirds of their salary.

The halt in gas supplies on January 1 led to the closure of industrial enterprises on the left bank of the Nistru, except for those producing food. Some of the enterprises resumed their operations at night.
